  • The students will be taught basic programming constructs while designing simple games.

  • The students will be asked to make a project: Ping Pong. Here, they have to build an AI based single player game against computer.

  • The students will be introduced to complex game designs and environment.

  • The course will mainly focus upon topics like: Functions, Flags, If-else conditionals and Switch Statements.

  • The students will be asked to make a project: Trex Runner Game.  Here, the students are asked to build infinite running screen games and multiplayer games from the web.

  1. GAMING APPS

  • The students will be taught how to stimulate physical systems like rigid body dynamics, soft body and fluid dynamics in the game.

  • The course will mainly focus upon topics like: Oops, JavaScript, Physics Engines and App Publishing.

  • The students will be asked to make a project: Angry Birds. Here, the students are asked to create professional games with real-world dynamics and systems.

  1. MULTI PLAYER GAMES

  • The students will learn to integrate database into their game to create multiplayer browser-based games.

  • The course will mainly focus upon topics like: Events, OOPS, Asynchronous Calls and Classes/Objects.

  • The students will be asked to make a project: Car Racing Game. Here, the students will get an opportunity to design a multiplayer car racing game.

  1. GAME DESIGN PROCESS

  • The students will learn how to brainstorm ideas for the development of their own game and then code the prototype from scratch.

  • The course will mainly focus upon topics like: Debugging, Call Back, Nested Loops and Logical Operators.

  • The students will be asked to make a project: Self Design Game. Here, the students have to design their own games – right from the characters, costumes to obstructions and rubrics.

  • The students will now dive into the world of HTML and CSS to build static and dynamic websites.

The course will mainly focus upon teaching the students how to develop a Single Player Game.

Through this course you’ll become acquainted with the game development methods and activities. You will begin designing your own video games using industry standard game development tools.

  • The students will be taught basic programming constructs while designing simple games. The students will also learn basics of programming while designing simple and complex arcade games. Advancing technology and growing internet use have allowed modern games to become digitally available, greatly expanding their scope and the overall experience of gaming enthusiasts.

  • The course will mainly focus upon topics like: Loops, If conditionals, Variables, Sequence, While Loops, Events and Pre-defined functions.

  • The students will learn the various skills like: 

  • Drag block to scripting area; Connect blocks; Choose character; Create new character; Start program with green flag; Stop program with red end block; Choose backgrounds; Create new backgrounds.

  • Use numbers on motion blocks to reduce the number of motion blocks used; Use the repeat and repeat forever blocks to make a program repeat.

  • Record sounds and add them to projects; Create speech bubbles for characters.

  • Program characters to move at different speeds & Pause a character’s program for a certain amount of time & Add additional pages to a project.

  • Use the start on bump block to activate another character’s program; Use the start on tap block to activate a character’s program; Use the send and receive message blocks to initiate another character’s program; Terminate particular characters’ programs with the stop block.
